Our Sgian Dubhs are handcrafted in Scotland and are a small single-edged knife. They are worn as part of highland dress in the hose (sock) of a kilted Scotsman. The stone top claw setting (available in 6 colours) with metal work in Pewter with plated finish of Palladium ensuring it will not scratch or tarnish. Black simulated handle and sheath. Stainless Steel Blade. Supplied boxed with general historical notes
Originally used for protection, hunting and cutting materials. They were a concealed weapon, only to be exhibited in the presence of a host out of courtesy and therefore placed in the wearers hose in a visible position.
