Our Sgian Dubhs are handcrafted in Scotland and are a small single-edged knife. They are worn as part of highland dress in the hose (sock) of a kilted Scotsman.
Originally used for protection, hunting and cutting materials. They were a concealed weapon, only to be exhibited in the presence of a host out of courtesy and therefore placed in the wearers hose in a visible position.
Our Sgian Dubh blades can be engraved to make it an extra special gift.
Stone colours may vary from what is pictured
